Head or brain injury cases are, by their very nature, complex and often take many years to conclude. Having a team of expert solicitors on your side from the earliest moment and throughout the duration of the case makes a world of difference, bringing you peace of mind at a time when you need it the most.

We understand that if someone has suffered an acquired brain injury (ABI) or traumatic brain injury (TBI) this can have a life-changing impact on both the individual and their loved ones. That is why we explore clients’ treatment, rehabilitation opportunities and interim compensation payments to meet the cost of specialist equipment and loss of earnings to help you through the early days of adapting to the huge change.

Our personal injury lawyers have many years’ experience representing those who have sustained a brain injury. It is not unusual for our brain injured clients to lose capacity to make important decisions on finance and their life. Our solicitors are often appointed as ‘Deputies’ to handle the affairs of clients and develop long and trusting relationships with clients and their families over many years. Click here to watch a video about Leigh-Ann who suffered a traumatic brain injury when she was knocked down by a car as a child.

Examples of head and brain injury cases

  • Traumatic brain injury following a road traffic accident
  • Head injury following a fall from a height
  • Blow to the head caused by a violent criminal act

Accidents abroad

If you have been involved in an accident abroad and it was caused by someone else’s negligence, you are entitled to claim compensation in the same way that you can in the UK. There are however differences in how you approach making a claim that requires the assistance of expert solicitors who understand the process.

Whether you’ve been injured after a fall, or because of a car crash, understanding who you should be making a claim against is crucial.

If you were working abroad at the time of the accident, you may be entitled to make a claim against your employer if they are based in the UK or have a registered office in the UK.

If you were on holiday at the time of the accident, and you booked your holiday through a UK travel agent, there are many circumstances in which you can make a claim against your tour operator.

Accident situations vary, and you may be struggling to work out what you need to do, however our solicitors will guide you through the process every step of the way.

Examples of accident abroad claims

  • Road traffic accidents involving foreign drivers
  • Food poisoning whilst on holiday or travelling
  • Slip by the side of a pool
  • Accident involving a water sport whilst abroad
  • Deaths whilst abroad
