We have acted on behalf of leasehold residents where their conveyancing Solicitors had failed to properly advise in relation to an erroneous ground rent review clause resulting in significant increases in the annual ground rents. Compensation we recovered secured funding for Statutory Lease extensions which extended the existing remaining terms of the lease by an additional 90 years and reduced the ground rent to a nominal sum. In a separate action, the compensation recovered funded Enfranchisement of the freehold of the development so the clients became outright owners of their properties and no longer tied into a lease.
