Our client was working at a chicken factory and part of his job include cleaning machinery that required him to work at a height. His employer failed to provide him with the proper equipment to carry out his job and he ended up falling from a ladder. He suffered a dislocation to his right shoulder but fortunately made a relatively good recovery.
This was a case where his employers denied liability but through careful negotiations with the insurers who insured the company, we were able to agree liability on a 70/30 basis in favour of our client. We recovered £10,000 (full valuation) for his injuries, as well as his loss of earnings.
